Valentine's Day Cookie Bouquet
Chocolate Cut Out Cookies
  1. • 1 cup butter
  2. • 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. • 1 large egg
  4. • 1 teaspoon vailla extract
  5. • 1/4 cup melted and cooled semi-sweet chocolate chips
  6. • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  7. • 3 cups flour
  8. • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  9. • 1 teaspoon salt
  10. • corn syrup
Marshmallow Fondant
  1. • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  2. • 4 cups powdered sugar (plus a little extra for kneading)
  3. • 2 Tablespoons water
Chocolate Heart Cookie Instructions
  1. In a large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add egg, vanilla extract, melted and cooled chocolate, cocoa. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Add in flour, baking powder, salt, and mix until all combined.
  4. Roll out cookies on a floured surface to 3/8 inch (8 mm thick using our Dough Thickness Guides). Cut out with cookie cutter.
  5. Place cookies onto parchment-lined baking sheets and carefully insert wooden skewer into cookie 1 1/2 - 2 inches, starting at the bottom point of the heart.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 7-9 minutes.
  7. Edges will be firm but not browned.
  8. Cool cookies on baking sheet before adhering the fondant impression.
Marshmallow Fondant Instructions
  1. Follow recipe to make Marshmallow Fondant here.
  2. Dust your mold and counter top with powdered sugar to prevent the mold from sticking when making your impressions.
  3. Make your impressions and cut out with cutter. (Suggested cutter for Lotus Heart Mold: #17062)
  4. Spread a light coating of corn syrup on the back of the fondant and place onto the Chocolate Heart Cookie you previously made.
Assembly Instructions
  1. Place styrofoam block in the base of your container of choice.
  2. Carefully insert wooden skewers with cookies attached into the styrofoam and arrange as desired.
  3. Cover top of styrofoam with shredded crinkle cut paper.
  1. ~Fondant can be painted using food coloring.
  2. ~Cookies can be individually wrapped with cellophane and tied with a ribbon if preferred.
